Grooming Policies

*Top Dog now uses a text notification system. The text will send out three days prior to the appointment and will send another reminder the day before as well. Please make sure to read the text notification and reply to confirm that you are coming to your appointment. If you do not confirm and do not show up to the appointment, we will charge a no show fee of $25 due to the loss of time and revenue for the groomer.*

  • All dogs must have current on vaccinations Rabies,Distemper,Bordetella ( or kennel cough). Canine Influenza is higly recommended but not necessary. Since wehighly recommend the Canine Influenza (combo), check with your veterinarian to see what they advise and follow their guidelines. You must provide proof of vaccinations records before your pet can be groomed.  Please have your vet fax/email us a copy of the records or bring a copy when you drop off.  If you forget a copy, we will attempt to call your vet and verify your dog is up to date. 

  • Please note there is a weight limit of 100Lbs for grooming.

  • Additional charges may apply to coats with mats and tangles. If the coat condition is severely matted and the groomer is unable to perform a De-matting process, we will recommend a shave down service. Shave down services may cause slight skin irritation due to the process and can also uncover underlying skin conditions (hot spots etc.). We will always try to point out any extra charges when you drop off, but sometimes we don't catch it until we start the grooming.  

  • Additional charges will be applied if your pet requires additional treatment for parasite infestation (flea and tick shampoo and Capstar tablet).

  • During boarding and grooming services photos, videos may be taking and used on Top Dog website, social media, lobby displays or in other marketing material.  You consent to our use of your or your dog’s image, likeness and name in such marketing materials.

  • We require notification of cancellation at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please be aware that any no shows or last minute cancelations will be billed 50% of the entire grooming service that was missed, so as to compensate our groomers for lost wages and time.

Top Dog Policies, Procedures, Services and Rates may change from time to time. While we will attempt to notify you of these changes, it is ultimately your responsibility to check back on our website regularly so that you are aware of our most current Policies, Procedures, Services and Rates. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion.
