Boarding Policies

Top Dog Boarding Policy Agreement
When boarding with us at Top Dog, you agree to all of the following while your pet(s) are being boarded here for their stay.
Check In/Out

All dogs must enter and exit out facility on a leash

​Owner will certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days.

Dogs in the same family are welcome to room toogether, however they must live in the same household. This is a safety policy due to dogs that are not housed together on a daily basis can become reactive with each other when in confined spaces. If difficulties arise for dogs of the same family sharing the same kennel, we reserve the right to house them separately at the individual boarding rate.

Top Dog policies, procedures, services, and rates may change from time to time. While we attempt to notify you of these changes, it is ultimately your responsibility to check back on our website regularly so that you are aware of our most current policies, procedures, services, and rates. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion.

Health

All dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations and owners must submit written proof of current vaccines: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella(Kennel Cough), and flea and tick preventative. Canine Influenza is high recommended. We accept proof of vaccinations from veterinarians only.
- If for health reasons you vet recommends not admistering a vaccine(s) to your pet, please bring a written waver from the vet.
- We require dogs nails to be at a safe and healthy length to board with us. Top Dog reserves the right to trim your dogs nails if we feel the length of the nail is effecting the dogs health or safety in our care. This will be at the owners expense and only if we feel it's necessary to take action.
- Bordetella vaccine is like a flu shot (for humans) and does not immunize all dogs against all strains of canine cough. Top Dog makes no guarantees in regards to the Bordetella Vaccine.
- If any external parasites are present (flea/ticks) your pet(s) will be treated accordingly, and owner will be responsible for those expenses. Please consult your veterinarian for more information about flea treatment options. No over the counter products will be accepted, except products containing the ingredient Fipronil.
- Care of Sick Boarders: We hope it never happens, but if one of our boarders appears ill or if in our judgement your pet(s) requires medical attention, Top Dog, in its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian or administer medicine, special diet, or give other requisite attention to the pet(s) and the expenses there of shall be paid by the owner. If a problem arises, we will always try to reach you or your emergency contact(s) before taking any action.
Payment

Owner agrees to pay the boarding charges or special services requested.
- Long term boarding requires payment up front for the first 14 days at the normal rate. Daily discounted rates from day 15 thru the end of the boarding period will be paid at check out time.
- Cancellation Policy: If it is necessary to change or cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible so that we may accommodate another pet owner. We require at least a 24 hour notice, so that you are not charged additional fees. Lack of notice to cancelled reservations will be charged a $25.00 cancellation fee for each kennel reserved under 3 days. Over 3 days, will be charged 50% of the stay.
- Payment is due in full at the time services are provided. Our prices are listed and explained on our website as well as placed in the lobby of our facility. It is your responsibility to make sure that you understand our charges prior to boarding your dog.
Accessories

All dogs will be provided with food and water bowls, a ramp, and blankets courtesy of Top Dog. You are still welcomed to bring your own bedding and hard toys from home.

Top Dog is not responisble for lost and damaged items. Please label all items left with the pet's name and the owner's last name in permanent marker. Be aware that we cannot guarantee the condition of any items left in the facility while boarding.

During boarding time, photos or videos may be taken to use for our website, social media, lobby displays, or other marketing material. You consent to our use of your or your dog's image, likeness, and name in such marketing materials.
